This was the best recomendation a bar tender has ever given me. I walked in on a cool night in Buffalo, NY and said I would like a dark beer. He asked if I wanted Guiness and I said not really, and he pulled out this. It reminded me of a porter with a heavy sweet malty flavor and a tinge of alcohol that lingered with each drink.
The thing I like mosts about this ale is the rich flavor that is coupled with so many sublte flavors that all seem to contribute to it’s great taste. It is rich and roasted probably from a bit of roasted barley and still has a malty sweetness that makes it extremely drinkable. Has anyone else tried this great ale?
